Infant Feeding Support

All new parents will be offered support with infant feeding by the midwives and health visitors providing their routine care.

If parents need more specialist infant feeding support there are infant feeding teams within the maternity and health visiting services which can be accessed as follows:

For maternity infant feeding team please email huh-tr.homertoninfantfeeding@nhs.net (for babies up to 10 days old).

For health visiting infant feeding team please email huh-tr.hvrapidresponse@nhs.net (for babies 10 days and older).

We accept referrals from health professionals and also self-referrals.

Maternity Helpline: 020 8510 5955 (every day 10am – 6pm)

Health Visiting Hub: 0207 683 4151 (Monday – Friday 9am – 5pm)

There are also infant feeding peer support drop-in sessions run by NCT in the Children & Family Hubs. The schedule for these drop-ins can be found at Hackney Infant Feeding and there is no appointment needed.
