Primary Care Mental Health Liaison Service (previously CHAMHRAS)

Primary Care Mental Health Liaison Service (PCL) is the single point of entry for mental health services in Hackney.

GPs and other agencies can contact PCL for advice and to make a referral in order to access mental health services.

The team is made up of nurses, social workers, psychiatrist, support worker and administrators. We are based at the Homerton Hospital.

We work closely with other teams such as the Home Treatment Team, the Recovery Teams and psychological services.

Our aim is to make sure that all clients who need an assessment are seen within 28 days of referral and that the most appropriate follow-up is offered after a single assessment.
