Walkingtogether
Walkingtogether provides a range of wellbeing walks across the borough. Sessions are held weekly and encourage the user to increase and sustain exercise to recommended levels. Also promoting the benefits of exploring the local area, being in a green space and socialising.
We also provide walks of interest, which on average are delivered monthly. They provide a great combination of walking, socialising and learning something new, such as the history of Hackney.
In partnership with the Ramblers we offer training for people to become walk leaders, which is primarily aimed at volunteers.
The free walk leader training covers: walk planning and safety, managing and leading a walk, benefits of walking and physical activity and demonstration of a walk.
